Creating a Family Genogram - Spring 2018

This two-part workshop will guide you as you create your own genogram, which is a visual representation of an extended family used by many counselors. The purpose of developing this special family tree is to understand the spiritual, emotional, relational and behavioral patterns passed down in a family from generation to generation. In session one, you will learn how to build a genogram, which you will begin during the workshop and complete on your own before meeting again for session two. In session two, you will learn how to describe and highlight the patterns you see moving through the generations of our family. At the conclusion of the workshop you will be given next steps to use your genogram as you prayerfully consider which family patterns you would like to leave in the past, and which patterns you would like to do your part in preserving for the generations to come.
